I worked with Hana Hope and U/M/A/A Inc. to at direct and animate a music video for her song, 'We've Come so Far'. The label had seen my previous music video work for HONNE and were interested in something that combined live action footage with cute animated characters and a heartwarming story.
I was grateful to be working with some talented creatives who helped along the project. Adi Putra shot all live-action footage of Hana from a studio in Tokyo. Even though I was working and directing the project from the UK, we were able to get these components together through our calls and discussions. Minori Murata kindly helped me with keying out the greenscreen footage, so I could add it into the animation without too many issues.
I had about 1.5 months to complete the whole project.
